Assign [Digital Preview] to the V/Y button. 

Refer to “Setting the V/Y Button Operation” (p.171) for details.

Focus on the subject, and press the V/Y button.

and you can check the composition, 

exposure and focus.

Press the shutter release button halfway. 

Digital Preview is ended and the autofocus system operates.
