TIMER-controlled recordings 
         You can programme up to 16 programmes per month in advance.
Insert a disc. 
Programming recordings with 
ShowView
By entering a ShowView number, the TIMER-controlled recording is easy to set. 
The appropriate codes can be found in newspapers and TV guides.

Press ShowView
!
Enter the ShowView number using the number buttons. 
Use    to delete a number. 
!
Confirm the ShowView number with ENTER
In the TIMER RECORDING screen, check the start and end time and the
VPS/PDC signal.
If [     ] is displayed under Name, use  
 to select the desired programme position.

Use  
 
 to select the recording mode. (XP, SP, LP, EP, FR)
If you selected VPS/PDC [ON], recording mode FR is not possible.

If you want to enter the programme name, use        to select 
[Programme Name] and confirm with ENTER.

Once you have performed all changes, save the programme with ENTER.

To continue programming, select [New Timer Programme].
!
Press    TIMER to switch the unit to timer standby mode. 
The    symbol lights up in the unit display. 
!
To cancel or pause the recording, press     TIMER again.
VPS/PDC function
If the television station sends VPS/PDC signals, the beginning and end of a 
recording are synchronised with the current air time. The programme start time 
must be set correctly to the start time given in the magazine.
