Turn ON the scanner, then the printer.
Next turn ON the computer.

The scanner will be ready after
approximately 20 seconds, and
“Ready”, “PTR Initializing” will be
displayed on the scanner LCD panel.

The READY indicator on the printer
starts flashing and “Initializing” is
displayed on the printer LCD panel.

After approximately 3.5 minutes,
the printer’s READY indicator is
illuminated and “Ready” is
displayed on the printer LCD panel.

The printer is ready for printing.

When  you power on your system for the first
time, if 

“

New Hardware Found” is displayed on

the computer screen, refer to page 32.

The test page provides general information on
printer settings and configuration. Make sure the
printer is ready and paper is loaded. Use the
following procedure to print a test page:

Press the MENU/EXIT button to enter
the Menu Mode.

Press the ENTER button.

Press the ENTER button again.

The printer will start printing a configuration
page.
