Problem
Cause & Solution
I cannot page a cordless
handset or base unit.
R The cordless handset is too far from the base unit.
Caller information is not
displayed.
R You must subscribe to use a Caller ID service. Contact your service
provider/telephone company for details.
R If you use a DSL/ADSL service, we recommend connecting a DSL/ADSL
filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack. Contact your DSL/
ADSL provider for details.
R Other telephone equipment may be interfering with this unit. Disconnect the
other equipment and try again.
R Other electrical appliances connected to the same outlet may be interfering
with the Caller ID information.
R Telephone line noise may be affecting the Caller ID information.
R The caller requested not to send his/her information (page 27).
R If a call is being transferred to you, the caller information will not be
displayed.
The display exits the Caller ID
list while viewing caller
information.
R Do not pause for over 1 minute on the cordless handset or 3 minutes on the
base unit while viewing.
Time on the unit has shifted.
R Incorrect time information from incoming Caller ID changes the time. Set the
time adjustment to “MANUAL” (OFF) (feature #33 on page 44).

The cordless handset does
not automatically turn ON
after installing/replacing
batteries.
R The battery is empty or too weak to turn ON the power. Place the cordless
handset on the base unit or charger, and let it charge.

R Make sure that the batteries are installed correctly (page 18) and fully charge
