11.4.8  Wireless LAN 
Problem
Cause & Solution
The network name
(SSID) of the wireless
access point cannot be
detected.
• The wireless access point is configured to not show the network name (SSID).
Enter the network name (SSID) manually (feature #585).
• Place the unit and your wireless access point close together, and then try to
configure again.
• If appliances that generate magnetic waves (microwave ovens, digital cordless
telephones, etc.) or other wireless LAN devices are located near by:
– Keep the above devices away from the unit and your wireless access point.
– Temporarily turn the power of the above devices off.
I cannot find the
network name (SSID)
and/or network key.
• Confirm the setting information of your wireless access point. For details about
the procedure, refer to the documentation for your wireless access point.
The unit cannot be
connected to the
wireless access point.
• Place the unit and your wireless access point close together, and then try to
configure again.
• If appliances that generate magnetic waves (microwave ovens, digital cordless
telephones, etc.) or other wireless LAN devices are located near by:
– Keep the above devices away from the unit and your wireless access point.
• The settings for your wireless access point are wrong. Confirm the setting
information of your wireless access point, and then try configuring again. For
details about the procedure, refer to the documentation for your wireless
access point.
• Your wireless access point is configured to limit access from certain devices.
Confirm the settings of your wireless access point.
Wireless
communication is slow
and/or unstable.
• If there are obstacles between the unit and your wireless access point, move
the unit as close as possible to your wireless access point.
• If appliances that generate magnetic waves (TVs, microwave ovens, digital
cordless telephones, etc.) are located nearby, keep the unit and your wireless
access point away from the above devices.
