Battery installation
The headphones are powered by two R03/LR03 (AAA) 
batteries (not included).
  Press the battery compartment lid on 
the left housing of the headphones to 
open the battery compartment, then 
remove the lid.
  Insert the two batteries.
● Correctly align the 
+ and - poles when inserting.
● Push down on the 
- pole spring when inserting.
Remove the 
+ poles fi rst when removing.
  Firmly close the battery compartment 
lid.
  When to change the batteries
The operation indicator b on the right housing of the 
headphones lights in red when the [OPR] switch a on 
the left housing of the headphones is turned “ON”. When 
the batteries become weak, the indicator dims or fails to 
light. Noise and interference also increase. Change the 
batteries if any of the above occurs.
 Installation
This unit uses an infrared beam. The approximate area 
in which the infrared beam from the transmitter (beam 
emitter c) can reach the headphones (beam sensor d) 
is shown in the fi gure. Install the infrared beam transmitter 
within the area indicated.

Note
● As infrared beams can not pass through walls or 
window panes, the headphones must be used where 
the infrared beam transmitter is directly visible without 
any obstructions.
● Do not expose the headphones to direct sunlight or to 
the bright light of an inverter fl uorescent light.
