The remaining arrow pad (on top) and the “Mute” key also work with mediaCTRL
Center for setting the volume.
3.3
mediaCTRL Center basics
There are two categories of actions when using mediaCTRL Center :

Navigation (going through media categories and lists)

Playback (controlling media rendering)
Navigation is performed through the Navigation pad (2-9). Once a given media has
been selected for rendering, the Control pad (10-15) gives control over media play-
back.
3.3.1
Understanding navigation
The arrow buttons (6-9) and the OK button
are used for navigation within the media that
have been made known to mediaCTRL Cen-
ter. The right arrow allows you to go down
one category or folder (and so does the OK
key when the highlighted item is a folder),
while the left arrow brings you one level
back.
The AwoX living room (Figure 10) shows you what kind of media are available for
selection. You can either use the navigation keys and press OK when the desired
media is selected, or use the shortcut keys (2-3-4-5) anywhere to go directly to the
desired media category.
The up and down buttons allow you to high-
light an item on the list, from which you can
continue navigating (if it is not a media) or
start enjoying your digital media.
The “Internet” category is special and is
treated in a separate paragraph.
