Using the RapidCall Numeric Pagers
The RapidCall Numeric pager option is primarily used to provide specific numeric
information or codes to individual recipients or groups of individuals.
The RapidCall Numeric pager operates in a virtually identical manner to the
RapidCall Vibration pager described in the preceding section, with the addition of
a top-mount LCD display panel. As such, only specific variations to the numeric
pager are highlighted in the balance of this section. Please see the preceding
section for most general RapidCall pager functions and diagrams.

To Turn the Pager On/Off
To turn the pager ON, depress the button for 1-second and then release the
button. The LCD will display “JTECH", and a speaker icon to denote that the
pager is on and ready to receive messages. The LED flashes green every 5-
seconds to indicate pager readiness. To manually turn the pager OFF, depress
and hold the button until "Off" is displayed, and then release the button. The
LCD will display a blank screen when the pager is turned off. The RapidCall
Numeric pagers may also be shut off over the air by inputting 9993# from the
Desktop transmitter keypad or the telephone interface. This will send shut off
ALL RapidCall Numeric pagers on the system.

Depress and hold the button until your choice of SILENT OR AUDIBLE is
displayed. When in the Silent mode, the pager vibrates until the button is
depressed or continues to vibrate for 4-seconds. Use the silent mode in
situations where an audible sound might disturb others. When in the Audible
mode, you hear a beep tone along with the vibration alert when a message is
received. The speaker symbol is displayed in the LCD display indicating the
pager is in Audible mode.
