If you don’t see readings no matter where you stand with the console,
Put the transmitter in TEST mode

Taking care to choose a good location improves the accuracy, reliability, and
durability of the sensor. The ideal location would be under the eaves on the
NORTH SIDE of a building in the Northern Hemisphere (on the south side in
the Southern Hemisphere).

Avoid areas which heat up in direct sunlight, such as asphalt driveways.
