3 Product Overview
The TRX Systems Neon™ Indoor Location System locates and tracks personnel indoors and where GPS is
unreliable or unavailable. Neon™ fuses location and environment information to produce and deliver
accurate, real-time locations of tracked personnel.

The TRX Systems Neon Indoor Location System consists of the following elements:
Tracking Unit – a tracking device worn on the waist of persons being tracked by Neon. The
waist-worn tracking unit provides location information from a dense array of sensors including
pressure, accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers, ranging, and GPS. For the Neon system
to work properly, the Tracking Units should be worn properly and periodically calibrated.
Section 6.1 of this manual describes how to properly wear the Neon Tracking Unit.

Neon Mobile application must be properly configured for communications with the Tracking
Unit and the Command Software. Section 8 of this manual describes how to properly configure
the Neon Mobile application.
