Installation of the HC450 door intercom 

system does not require additional cables 

to be laid if a doorbell with sound effect is 

already present. You replace the existing 

doorbell key in this case. 
Begin by checking that you have all the 

components required for mounting. 
Please read the entire chapter on instal-

lation carefully before you commence. 

u 1 control unit with cover
u 4 plugs and mounting screws for fixing 

the control unit and door intercom

u 1 HC450 door intercom
u 1 frame for surface mounting
u 1 plug-in power supply unit
u 2 hexagon socket screws for fixing the 

door intercom to the frame

u 1 Allen key for the hexagon socket 

screws

u 2 clamping plugs for connecting the 

cables to the door intercom

u 2 doorbell key covers and nameplates
u 2 thermal shrinkage tubes

The HC450 door intercom generally 

replaces the existing doorbell. It is suitable 

for mounting outdoors and features 

weatherproof protection.

u Make sure that there are no power sup-

ply lines, cables or the like near the 

mounting location.

u Select the attachment and mounting 

location so that there is a minimum dis-

tance of 10 cm between the micro-

phone and the closest wall surface.
