8. Maintenance and cleaning
The function generator is maintenance-free apart from replacement of fuses and occasional cleaning.
Use a clean, lint-free, antistatic and dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use any abrasive or chemical
agents or detergents containing solvents.
To clean the display, use a soft, clean and lint-free as well as antistatic and slightly damp cleaning cloth.
Switch the function generator off prior to cleaning or changing fuses and separate
it from all measuring cables. Also remove the mains cable.
8.1. Changing the fuse
If it is no longer possible to switch on the device, the mains fuse is probably defective.
Proceed as follows to replace the mains fuse:
• Switch the function generator off and remove all measuring cables and the mains cable from the device.
• Unlock the fuse holder on the rear (20) with a screwdriver by slightly pressing counter-clockwise. The
bayonet catch of the fuse holder opens. Remove the fuse holder.
• Replace the defective fuse with a new fine-wire fuse (5 x 20 mm) of the same type and nominal current
(F200mA/250V (quick)).
• Press the fuse holder back in and lock it by slightly pressing clockwise.
