•   Unauthorised  conversion  and/or  modification  of  the  product  is  not  al-
lowed for safety and approval reasons (CE).

•   The LED downlight is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren! There is danger of a life-threatening electric shock! Install the LED
downlight out of the reach of children.

•   The LED downlight may be operated only on the mains voltage (see sec-
tion “Technical Data”). Never try to operate the product at another volt-
age, as this will cause its destruction.

•  The LED downlight is designed according to protection class II.

•   During installation, an all-pole disconnecting device must be provided in
the mains supply circuit (e.g. via RCD).

•   The LED downlight may be installed and used only in dry, enclosed indoor
rooms; it must not get damp or wet! There is danger to life through an
electric shock!

•   Do not mount or use the LED downlight in rooms, or under adverse envi-
ronmental conditions, where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or
may be present! There is a risk of explosion!

•   The LED downlight must not be embedded in heat insulating material (e.g.
heat insulation mats) (for minimum distance see “Technical Data” sec-
tion).

•  The LED downlight must not be operated via a dimmer.

•   Use the LED downlight only when it is firmly and steadily mounted. Never
install the LED downlight in vehicles.

•   Do not hang or attach objects (e.g. decorating material) from or to the LED
downlight.

•   The LED downlight must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong
vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.

•   If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible,
disconnect the LED downight immediately and secure it against inadvert-
ent operation. Thereafter, arrange for an expert to check the LED down-
light.

It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:

-  the LED downlight shows visible signs of damage

-   the LED downlight does not work at all or works poorly (where there
is flickering light, leaking smoke or a burning smell, audible crackling
noises, or discolouration to the product or to adjacent surfaces)

-  the LED downlight was stored under unfavourable conditions

-  it was exposed to heavy loads during transport

•   Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.

•   In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployers’ Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Oper-
ating Facilities are to be observed!
