13. TROUBLESHOOTING
In purchasing the weather station, you have acquired a product which has been
designed to the state of the art and is operationally reliable. Nevertheless, problems
and faults might occur. For this reason, the following is a description of how you can
eliminate possible malfunctions yourself.
No reception of the signal of the outdoor sensor
If the weather station does not receive any measured data from the outdoor sensor,
only dashes ("--") are displayed  by the weather station for temperature and humidity.
In this case, observe the following notes:
The distance between weather station and outdoor sensor is too large. Change
the installation site of the weather station or outdoor sensor.
The batteries of the outdoor sensor are weak or empty. Try to insert new batteries
into the outdoor sensor. Check the outdoor sensor display reading.
Always set the first outdoor sensor to channel 1. The switch (22) for channel
selection is in the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor.
If you use a second or third outdoor sensor (available as accessories), set them
for channel 2 or 3. Observe that each outdoor sensor must be set to a different
channel. Otherwise, they would interfere with each other.
The channel number will be shown on the display of the outdoor sensor.
Very low outdoor temperatures (less than -20 °C) decrease battery performance.
This reduces the range or the outdoor sensor will no longer work properly.
A different transmitter on the same or an adjacent frequency interferes with
the radio signal of the outdoor sensor. It may be helpful to reduce the distance
between the weather station and outdoor sensor or to choose another setup
site.
Objects or shielding materials (metalised insulated glass windows, reinforced
concrete, etc.) interfere with radio reception. The weather station is too close
to other electronic devices (TV, computer). Change the location site of the
weather station.
