The power indicator (11) lights up during operation. If the indicator goes out and the rotary switch is not at position
“OFF”, the auto power-off function has activated. To turn the multimeter back on, first turn the rotary switch (5) to
position “OFF” and then to the desired measuring function. The power indicator (11) lights up and the multimeter is
operational.
10. MEASUREMENT OPERATION
Never exceed the maximum permissible input values. Do not touch any circuitry or connection
points when voltages exceeding 33 V/ACrms or 70 V/DC might be applied. Risk of fatal injury!
Always check all connected test leads for damages (i.e. cuts, tears or pinching) before measuring.
Cease use of damaged test leads immediately! Risk of fatal injury!
Do not touch beyond the feelable handle markings on the test leads during measurement.
Only connect the two test leads required for measuring to the device. for safety reasons, remove
all unnecessary test leads from the device.
Measurements of circuits >33 V/AC AND >70 V/DC may be carried out by professionals and per-
sons familiar with the applicable regulations for the measurement and all possible hazards arising
therefrom.
Begin each measurement in the highest measuring range. Then switch step by step to a lower measuring
range for the most accurate reading. The medium scale range (scale range approx. 70 - 110°) yields the
highest accuracy.
The measuring ranges on the rotary switch correspond to the full-scale value. Always select the appropriate value
(e.g. 50 scale for the measuring ranges 50 and 500) when reading measurements.
Make sure that the “Vrms” button (9) is at position “Vrms” for all measurements (except V/AC) to prevent measuring
