This chapter explains how to use and connect the [REMOTE]
connector and [FAULT OUTPUT] connector located on the rear
panel of the XMV.

Using the [REMOTE] Connector

You can connect switches to the rear panel [REMOTE] connec-
tor (page 15), and use them to remotely mute/unmute all chan-
nels or switch the power standby/on status.
From the left, the [REMOTE] connector consists of MUTE
ALL, STANDBY, and GND pins.
The [REMOTE] connector uses a Euroblock plug.

A lamp or other indicator can be connected to the rear panel
[FAULT OUTPUT] connector to inform an operator when a
problem occurs.
