1000 modem.

4.1 Reinstallation of the drivers after an incomplete installation

If the installation of the drivers failed or if the installation procedure was interrupted during the process,
proceed as follows to reinstall the software.

Switch off the modem if it is powered.

Uninstall the modem drivers using the F@st1000 Uninstallation command created by the

installation software in the Start menu of Windows.

• For Windows 98, Windows Millennium and Windows 2000 :

Start / Programs / SAGEM F@st1000 / F@st1000 uninstallation

• For Windows XP :

Start / All Programs / SAGEM F@st1000 / F@st1000 uninstallation

If the F@st1000 Uninstallation command does not exist in the Start menu of Windows, proceed
as follows to get it :

Make sure the modem is switched off.

Insert the CD-ROM SAGEM F@st

1000.

When the welcome screen appears, click on Install the modem to start the installation

procedure.

When Windows indicates "Modem setup is complete…", DO NOT PLUG the modem but

click on OK to shut down the message box. The F@st1000 Uninstallation command
should now appear in the Start menu of Windows.

Reinstall the drivers of the modem following instructions of chapter 3.

If the installation of the drivers fails again or if Windows doesn't detect the modem when it is switch on,
proceed as follows to clear any contamination of Windows registry.

Check that the power supply cable is plugged in the modem (connector marked PWR), then

connect the mains adapter to power up the SAGEM F@st

1000. Connect the modem to the PC

using the USB cable.

Open the Device Manager as explained below.
