 Note
• Only video signals with NTSC or PAL resolutions are 
output from the 
VIDEO OUT terminal. Set the output 
using the 
TV SYSTEM (NTSC, PAL) switch on this 
unit’s rear panel (page 25).
• Video signals with the resolution set at 
SETUP are 
output from the 
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT terminals 
(set to 480/59.94i (North American model)/576/50i 
(European model) upon shipment from factory). It is 
not possible to output signals with a resolution 
differing from the HDMI output (page 45).
• When 
EDID is set to On and HDMI connections are 
used, the HDMI output’s resolution setting has 
priority, so the output resolution of the signals output 
from the 
COMPONENT VIDEO OUT terminals may 
change automatically (page 45).
• When there is a display for monitoring, we 
recommend connecting it to the 
VIDEO OUT 
terminal.
Connecting the DIGITAL 
AUDIO OUT terminal
 Note
• The following linear PCM signals can be output from 
this unit’s 
DIGITAL AUDIO OUT terminal:
– Sampling frequency: 48 kHz
– No. channels: 2
• To switch the picture with the amplifier, also connect 
the 
VIDEO OUT terminal.
Connecting the LAN 
(10/100) port
Use this to connect this unit to a hub connected to a 
network, etc. For details on this unit’s network functions, 
see page 60.
Be sure to connect to an Ethernet hub or router 
compatible with 100BASE-TX.
Connecting to an Ethernet 
hub
This unit can be connected to an Ethernet hub using a 
LAN cable.
 Caution
• Use an STP cable for the LAN cable. Failure to do so 
could result in serious electromagnetic problems.
 Note
• The LAN indicator on front panel lights when 
connected to the network (page 24).
• If 
DHCP is set to TYPE in the network settings and 
there is an available DHCP server on the connected 
network, the IP address is obtained automatically. If 
no DHCP server is available, set the IP address 
manually (page 48). 
• Note that Pioneer will accept no responsibility 
whatsoever for any communication errors or 
malfunctions associated with your network 
connection and/or your connected equipment.
