Operating the answering machine with voice prompts 
You can control message playback using the voice commands "BACK" und "FORWARD". 
You can delete individual messages during playback using the voice command 
"DELETE". 
◆ Before each voice command, press
 9 and then speak the command when you hear 
the ready tone.
◆ When deleting a message you are prompted to repeat the command.

Operating the answering machine while you are away from home
(remote operation)
You can check and activate your answering machine from any other telephone (hotel, 
pay phone etc.). You will find a quick guide for remote operation on page 87.
Precondition: 
1. You have previously changed the preset system PIN (0000) at home (page 83).
2. The phone from which you are calling has tone dialling (DTMF), i. e. you hear differ-
ent tones when you press the keys. Alternatively you can use a code transmitter 
(available from your mobile phone retailer).
Calling your answering machine and playing messages
The answering machine tells you whether any new messages have been recorded. The 
messages are now played back. You can remote operate your answering machine in one 
of two ways:
◆ with the keypad,
◆ with voice prompts.
