Operating the answering machine with the keypad
Key the appropriate digit for the required action.
Operating the answering machine with voice prompts
Before each voice command, press 
9 and then speak the command when you hear the 
ready tone. When you delete a message you are prompted to repeat the command. 
Repeat "
Delete
" (without pressing 
9 first). 
Activating the answering machine remotely
If you have forgotten to activate your answering machine you can activate it remotely. 
Call your own number with a mobile phone or tone dialling phone and let the number 
ring for about one minute. You will hear: “Please enter PIN”.
Precondition: The system PIN must not be 0000 (page 83). 
Your answering machine is activated. It tells you how much memory time is left. If sev-
eral mailboxes have been activated, you will be prompted to enter the number of the 
mailbox you want to listen to. The messages are now played back.
