Ricoh 170 / 180 User Manual

Some of the features in this machine can be switched on or off, and some of them
do not work unless they are switched on first. Other features can be adjusted in
various ways. Each adjustment or on/ off switch is explained in the relevant
sections of the manual.

There are two user functions to help you adjust these features and switch them
on/off.

Function 62 (On/ Off Switches)

Function 63 (User Parameters)

This feature allows you to switch some of the major features of the machine on or
off. The overall procedure is explained below. However, each of the adjustments
that can be made using this procedure are explained in the relevant parts of the
manual. As well as a series of on/ off switches, Function 62 allows access to
many features (see the features table on the next page).

1. Press the Function key and

6,2,2,2,2,6,2, at the ten keypad, then
press Yes key.

SELECT LINE

2. Scroll through the list of features with

the 

k

 key until the required feature ap-

pears.

SAVE PAPER ON/OFF

3. Press the Yes key.

SAVE PAPER           Y/j k

     ON     kOFF

4. Change the setting by  using the

  j 

and

the 

k

 keys. 

SAVE PAPER           Y/j k

   kON      OFF

5. Press the Yes key to store this setting.

The next switch will appear.

AUTO CUTTER ON/OFF

6 Either :
