You can use one power module for the S5820X series to ensure normal operation of the whole system. 
You can also use two power modules in parallel connection to implement 1 + 1 redundancy. 

Note that you can replace a power module with the device running. However, you need to follow the 
installation and power-on procedure illustrated in 

 and the power-off and removal procedure 

 to prevent damage to the device and personal injury.
