The ventilations on the two sides of the chassis, the hot swappable fan trays, and the hot swappable 
power modules of the S5820X series form an effective cooling system, ensuring that the heat generated 
by the device and power modules can be exhausted in time, and thus enhance device stability. When 
installing an S5820X series, place the device according to the ventilation design of the installation 
environment. 

The heat dissipation process of the S5820X-28S is as shown in 

. Air enters from the 

ventilations on the two sides of the chassis, carries the heat generated by the switch and power 
modules, and then goes out from the air outlets of the turbo fan and power fan. The switch and the 
power module each has its independent air channel for heat dissipation. Keep the air channels with 
good ventilation when the switch is operating.
