Error messages
Display messages
If the unit detects a problem, one of the following messages will be displayed on the base 
unit or cordless handset. Error beeps or busy tone are heard.

Busy

The paged party is engaged in a call.
L
A paged cordless handset is too far from the base unit. 
Call restriction
L
The dialed number is restricted. Cancel the restriction 
(page 85).
Error
(base unit only)
L
When you tried to register the cordless handset, the 
cordless handset and base unit could not link for some 
reason, such as interference from other electrical 
appliances. Take the cordless handset and base unit 
away from the electrical appliances and try again.
L
Eight cordless handsets have already been registered 
to the base unit. To cancel another handset registration, 
see page 27.
Invalid.
Please register the 
handset to the 
base.

You tried to make a call or access a mailbox with a 
cordless handset that has not been registered to the 
base unit. Register the cordless handset (page 25).
Invalid entry
L
You tried to key-in an invalid direct command. Key-in 
the correct command (pages 92 to 94).
Invalid mailbox
(base unit only)
L
You attempted to deliver/transfer a message to an 
unregistered cordless handset’s mailbox. Register the 
cordless handset (page 25).
Memory is full
L
When trying to store an item in the Phonebook, the 
Phonebook memory is full. Erase unwanted items and 
try again (page 46).
L
There is no memory available for recording messages. 
Erase unnecessary messages (page 59). 
Message full

There is no memory available for recording messages.
