Searching for a name by initial from the 
base unit

Press {f} or {g} to enter the 
Phonebook.

The number of items held are 
displayed.

Press {<} to display the first 
Phonebook item.

Press the dialing key ({0} to {9}) which 
corresponds to the first letter you are 
searching for (see the character table, 
page 44).
Example: To find “SARAH”, press {7
repeatedly until the first item under “S” 
is displayed.

Press {<} until the name is displayed.

Lift the base unit handset or press 
{
SP-PHONE} or an available line key.

The number is dialed automatically.
Scrolling through the Phonebook from 
the cordless handset

While the cordless handset is in 
standby mode, press 
 to enter 
the Phonebook.

The number of items held is displayed.

Press {V} or {^} repeatedly to display 
the desired item.

Press {C} or {s}.

The number is dialed automatically.

You can press a line key instead of 
pressing {C} or

Editing Phonebook items
 
Using the base unit

Display the desired item, as described 
under “Finding and calling a Phonebook 
item” on page 44.

Press {EDIT}.

Edit the name, if necessary. See the 
character table on page 44 for 
character entry.

Pressing {CLEAR} erases the 
character to the left of the cursor. To 
erase all characters, press and hold 
{
CLEAR}.

Press {ENTER}.

Edit the phone number, if necessary.

Pressing {CLEAR} erases the digit to 
the left of the cursor. To erase all digits, 
press and hold {CLEAR}.
6
Press {ENTER}.

Confirmation tone is heard. 
7
Press {EXIT}.
