Verification requires a temporary loopback between the DS1 transmit and 

receive signals by cross-connecting newly installed DS1s at the patch panel.

Equipment status shows DS1 card is installed.

If status display shows that the card is not installed, check that the card is 

properly seated in the card connector. 

3. Set DS1s on Quad T1 Framer card in service by entering the following command, where <n> is the 

DS1 number or range of DS1 numbers:

set ds1 <n> up

4. Loop back newly installed DS1 transmit outputs to DS1 receive inputs at patch panel.
