Protection Definitions
Automatic protection switching (APS) is performed in accordance with specifications

The signal is continuously bridged to the working and
protection equipment so payloads are transmitted
identically over both paths. The receiving equipment
chooses either path. The user must set their equipment to bi-
directional. The Broadmore 1750 supports bi-directional
1+1 APS for the NIM. The Broadmore 1750 does not
support uni-directional 1+1 APS for the NIM.
