The Remote Module configuration for Ethernet Data Type is similar to the Office Module configuration,
with some minor differences.
You have the option to configure all Ethernet settings from the Remote phone menus or from the Terminal

Remote Module Ethernet parameters that require configuring are:

Data Phone Number
Under the Configure Data menu on the Remote Terminal menu there is an additional sub-menu, Data Num-
ber.
The Data Phone Number is used to specify the phone number that the remote extender will call to establish
the PPP connection for bridging data. If the remote is calling an office extender, this number should be that
configured as DN2 on the office Module. If the data ISDN connection is to some other remote access device,

Data-On-Demand Mode
The Remote extender provides a Data-On-Demand (DOD) feature that will bring down the ISDN data con-
nection after a specified period of “inactivity”. The actual definition of inactivity is dependent upon the
DOD mode selected.
