When the
reset dhcp server ip-in-use
 command is executed in Ethernet
interface view, it takes effect only for the address pool of that interface. It takes
effect for all address pools when used in other views.
When the
 reset dhcp server conflict
 command is executed in Ethernet
interface view, it takes effect only for the address pool of that interface. It takes
effect for all address pools when used in other views.
DHCP server test whether IP addresses are in conflict by sending ping packets,
while DHCP client do it by sending ARP packets.
DHCP Client
Configuration
Introduction to DHCP
Client
Principle of DHCP client
In a typical DHCP application network, one DHCP server will support many DHCP
clients (for example PCs or laptops). See Figure 103
Figure 103   Typical networking of DHCP server
DHCP client is in fact a concept at interface level. If a host provides multiple
Ethernet interfaces, then each interface can be configured as an independent
DHCP client.
It is simpler to implement DHCP client attributes at a router than to implement at a
host.
