LNS Configuration
895
Perform the following configuration in virtual template view.l
When specifying address pool for the peer end, if no
pool-number
 value is given
behind the keyword
pool
, it indicates that the default address pool will be used to
assign addresses.
By default, addresses will be assigned to the peer end from address pool 0 (default
address pool).
Setting domain name
delimiter and search
sequence
When there are many enterprises connected on LNS side, it takes time to separate
names of enterprises from usernames in packets to go on with follow-up
processes. In this case, necessary strategies (e.g. delimiter of prefix and suffix) can
be set on LNS side to accelerate proceeding speed.
Delimiters fall into two groups: prefix delimiter and suffix delimiter, which can be
the following four kinds of special characters:”@”, “#”, “%”, and “/”. Users with
prefix delimiter are as 3com.com#vpdnuser, users with suffix delimiter are as
vpdnuser@3com.com. Username and prefix/suffix are separated and the user will
be hunted simply according to the configured search rule to get a higher speed. It
is required in L2TP multi-instance application that, users are named as follows
during net accessing: username#”name of enterprise” or “name of
enterprise”@username, so that domain name mode can be adopted on LNS side
to search.
Perform the following configuration in system view.
Setting user name,
password and User
Authentication
On LNS side, if forcible CHAP authentication is configured, it needs to configure
local registered username and password on LNS side.
LAC performs user authentication by examining whether remote dial-up username
and password correspond to local registered username and password, to check
