Overview of Connect, Install, and Configure
The Web Security appliance provides three modes of operation: Standard, Cloud Web Security
Connector, and Hybrid Web Security.

In Cloud Web Security Connector mode, the appliance connects to and routes traffic to a Cisco Cloud
Web Security (CWS) proxy, where Web security policies are enforced.
