Cisco G.SHDSL EFM/ATM
The Cisco EHWIC-4SHDSL-EA provides up to four lines of connectivity through one RJ-45 connector 
(see 
), in EFM or ATM modes. The Cisco 888EA fixed platform (see 
) supports up to 
four lines of connectivity through one RJ-45 connector, in EFM or ATM modes.
Note
The C888EA and the Cisco EHWIC-4SHDSL-EA support the Dying Gasp feature. The term dying gasp 
refers to power status as defined in ITU-T standard G.991.2, section 7.1.2.5.3.

Status of the system:
Green—Operating system is running.
Amber—Loopback mode.
EFM
Green—Indicates EFM mode.
ATM
Green—Indicates ATM mode.
L0, L1, L2, L3
Status of link:
Green on—Link is active.
Off—Link is inactive or not configured.
Amber—Link alarm.
Blinking green—Link is training. Slow blinking indicates Inverse Multiplexing 
Over ATM (IMA) link training. Fast blinking indicates non-IMA link training.
Amber and green blinking simultaneously—Loopback mode. EN/LP is also amber.

On—DC power is being supplied to the router and the Cisco IOS software is 
running.
Blinking—Bootup is in process, or the router is in ROMMON monitor mode.
Off—Power is not supplied to the router.
PPP
On—At least one PPP session is established.
CD
Green—xDSL interface is connected to the DSLAM6.
Blinking Green—Training to the line.
Off—A connection has not been established or the port is shut down.
