A Newer Cisco Security Manager Base License or An Incremental Device

Complete these steps:
Save the attached license file (.lic) from the email to your file system.
1. 
Copy the saved license file to a known location on the Cisco Security Manager server file system.
2. 
Launch the Cisco Security Manager Client.
3. 
Choose Tools > Security Manager Administration.
4. 
From the Cisco Security Manager − Administration window, click Licensing.
5. 
Click Install a License.
6. 
From the Install License dialog box, click Browse.
7. 
Navigate to and select the saved license file on the Cisco Security Manager server file system and
click OK.
8. 
From the Install License dialog box, click on OK.
9. 
Confirm the License Summary information displayed and click Close.
10. 
Note: You must store your license files on a disk that is local to your Cisco Security Manager server. Cisco
Security Manager does not see mapped drives if you use it to browse directories on your server. Windows
imposes this limitation, which serves to improve Cisco Security Manager performance and security. For more
information, log in to your Cisco.com account, then use the Bug Toolkit to learn about Cisco bug ID
