Conventions

Version Supported
Your AP must run VxWorks firmware version 11.40T or later in order to install VxWorks firmware version
12.05.
Reset the AP to Factory Default
Refer to the Resetting the Configuration section of Managing Firmware and Configurations if you need to set
the unit back to factory defaults.
Upgrade Procedure
The Upgrade procedure explained in this section is with respect to the boot block version 0.05 on the AP. The
procedure to upgrade the 12.01T1 firmware is the same, regardless of the boot block version available on your
AP.
Determine the Boot Block Version
You need to unplug and replug the power connector to reboot the AP. This determines the boot block version
available on your AP.
As the AP reboots, the introductory system information appears. The boot block version appears in the third
line of this text and is labeled 
Bootstrap Ver
. This output shows the bootstrap version 0.05 that appears:

Motherboard: IBM405 200MHz, 8192KB FLASH, 16384KB DRAM, Revision 00

Upgrade Procedure
Complete these steps to upgrade your AP:
When the memory files are listed under the heading of

seconds to reach the boot block menu.
