Virtualization Technology sets enable or disable of the Intel

®

 Virtualization 

Technology installed in the CPU.

Intel

®

 Virtualization Technology is the technique that allows one machine to 

operate as multiple virtual machines.

The Disabled command does not allow use of the Intel

®

 Virtualization 

Technology.

The Enabled command allows use of the Intel

®

 Virtualization Technology.

This feature enables or disables the Enhanced C-States.

This setting, which is displayed on the first page of the setup screen, 
configures the Execute-Disable Bit function of the computer's processor. 
This function is specific to Intel

®

 processors and, when activated, helps to 

reduce security threats to the computer by preventing certain classes of 
malicious 'buffer overflow' attacks when combined with a supporting 
operating system such as Windows Vista

®

Enables Virtualization Technology.

Disables Virtualization Technology (Default).

This lowers the power consumption (Default).

This does not lower the power consumption.

Makes the processor's Execute-Disable Bit 
Capability available for use (Default).

Disables the processor's Execute-Disable Bit 
Capability so that it is not available for use.
