Introduction
The FC2000TX wireless audio/visual transmitter is a low power FM transmitter that
operates in the 902 MHz to 928 MHz frequency band. The transmitter is designed as a
component for OEM applications and is not intended for direct purchase by the end user.

Installation
2.1
Housing Requirements
The transmitter is small enough to be employed in hand held applications however it must
be secured to protect against crushing or impact damage. The transmitter should be
mounted so that the housing can be used as a heat sink or the housing must provide
ventilation. The housing must allow the antenna to extend from the transmitter without
bending and so that the antenna is not obstructed by metallic surfaces.

2.2
Electrical Connections
Electrical signals are connected to the transmitter through four color coded wires that pass
through an EMI limiting ceramic toroid. The black wire is the ground reference for all
signals. The red wire connects to a 12 VDC power source that can provide at least
250 mA peak current and 80 mA continuous current. The white wire connects to a high
impedance audio signal source such as a piezo microphone. The yellow wire connects to
a 75 ohm NTSC video source such as a keyhole video camera. The video bandwidth is
4 MHz.
