•  Equipment already in the field – Non RoHS hardware can continue to be used in the field 

provided the equipment has been “Put on the Market” on or before the 30

 June 2006. 

These products will continue to have: 

 

1.  Repair and Return:  Non RoHS compliant equipment can be used post 30

th

 June 

2006 in support of Repair and Return of the installed base that was placed on the 
market before 1

st

 July 2006. 

 

2.  Extensions of already installed EEE: Non-compliant components can continue to be 

deployed for expansion to existing nodes which have been or deployed prior to 1

st

 

July 2006 for the purpose of extending the lifetime of the existing unit.
