SIG7340
The SIG7340 module, using its common interface slot,
distributes a free-to-air or encrypted digital signal from
a DVB-S source.
It enables the audio/video signal to be available as a
transport stream in MPEG2/MPEG4 format, distributed
from the back panel.
In a typical application it can be connected to an
SIG7120 module (modulator) that uses the transport
stream to create a COFDM multiplex. It can also be
connected to an IP encoder SIG7720 creating multiple
IP multicast streams.
A specific feature has been integrated in the SIG7340:
it can be used as a CAM extender when needed, it
means that it can be used between the first receiver
and the modulator to decrypt extra programmes in the
Transport Stream provided by the first receiver
It can also be installed as a single unit to distribute one
program
