a) Switch on and off the device
   the batteries included must be inserted before you are able to use the device. Inserting and 
replacing the batteries is described in the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance”.
The device is switched on via the respective functions button on the front side. 
The high voltage test and continuity test are only active as long as the corresponding button is kept pressed. The 
device automatically switches off on releasing the button.
b) Lamp test with antenna sensor
   please ensure that no button is pressed on the device. do not touch the antenna during the test 
phase. Keep the device below the grip area marking (10). there is the risk of electric shock.
 
 do not touch the lamp with your hand since this could distort the test result. 
•  On request pull out the antenna sensor to the necessary length.
•   Switch off the lighting to be tested. The lamp can remain in the socket or be taken out.
•   Insert the arched sensor head centered directly onto the glass pipe of the lamp or onto the side contacts of the 
light socket (only touch one contact). If necessary change the position of the sensor.
•   Press the “TEST “ button and keep this pressed for the duration of the test. The lamp tester specifies an ionizing 
high voltage signal at intervals of approximately 1 second. The voltage output is signaled with the red “TEST” (2) 
indicator. 
•   The lamp should start to light up at this interval. If this is not the case the lamp must be replaced.
•  Release the “TEST” button. The device switches off. 
•  Push the antenna back into the device to avoid damage.
