The contact testing of the heating coil is necessary since this is responsible for the ionization of the gas inside the 

glass tube. 
•   Switch off the lighting to be tested and take out the lamp from 

the socket.

•   First plug a side of the light socket into the socket until this 

noticeably snaps. 

•    Press the “PIN” button and keep it pressed for the duration 

of the test. The lamp tester signals the continuation of the 

heating coil with a signal sound. In addition the display “PIN” 

lights up red. The continuity test was successful. The socket 

can be pulled from the tester.

•  A rough measuring value <1 kOhm is recognised as a continuity and the beeping sounds. 
•  Repeat this test with the opposite contact page.
•   A passage must be indicated on both sides. The lamp must be replaced if this is not the case.
•  Release the “PIN” button. The device switches off.

The LED lighting can be switched on and off independently from the test mode. Briefly press the button for the torch 

(6) to switch on the LED light. Push the key once to turn illumination on and twice to turn it back off. 
The light remains on until the function is deactivated via the light switch (6) or the automatic switch off (max.  

5 minutes).
