Notification that Lending Offer Will Expire Soon
If a friend offers to lend you a book, you receive a lending offer notification among the notifications

Expiration of a Lending Offer
If you receive a lending offer and neither accept nor decline the offer before the end of the seventh
calendar day, the offer expires. The notification remains in The daily, but it cannot be accepted or
declined. You receive an additional notification informing you that the lending offer has expired.

Declining a Lending Offer
When you receive a lending offer on your
NOOK
, you can accept the offer and borrow the eBook,
or you can decline the offer.
Why decline a lending offer if it will expire automatically after 7 days? Because until you
decline the offer or it expires, your friend cannot read the eBook or make the lending offer
to someone else.
