Intercom
Transferring a Call
This feature enables you to transfer a call between the handset and base
unit. A call can be transferred with announcement (Announced transfer)
or without announcement (Blind transfer).
When using more than one handset, see pages 58–60.
With the handset
Announced transfer:

During a call, press
and 
(INTERCOM)
.
•The call is put on hold.

Press
to
select “BASE”, and press
.
•The handset and the base unit
ring, and then automatically
switch to intercom modes.

When the base unit user
answers the page, you can
announce the transfer.
•If the base unit user does not
answer, press (OFF/CLEAR)
then (INTERCOM), or
(SP-PHONE).

To end the intercom, press
(OFF/CLEAR)
.
•When the base unit user
presses (DIGITAL!SP-PHONE)
to answer the call, the transfer is
completed.
•If the base unit user does not answer
the transferred call within 5 minutes,
the call will be disconnected.

the ring back tone sounds and “CALL
ON HOLD RING BACK !
” is
displayed. If you do not answer the
recall within 30 seconds, the call will be
disconnected.
