Provision Remote Adit 600 via IP DS0
Provision Drop DS1s to Remote Adit
3. Set DS1 out of service with the following command:
set ds1 <n> down
Example:
set ds1 1 down
Example:
set ds1 10-15 down
4. Set DS1 type to “drop”
set ds1 <n> type drop
Example:
set ds1 1 type drop
5. Set DS1 framing to ESF or D4 (SF). Use ESF for Carrier Access FDL management or D4 for IP 
DS0 management.
set ds1 <n> framing <d4|esf>
Example:
set ds1 1 framing esf
6. Set DS1 line code
set ds1 <n> linecode <ami|b8zs>
Example:
set ds1 1 linecode esf
7. Set drop DS1 clock source to normal or loop
set ds1 <n> clock <normal|loop>
Example:
set ds1 10 clock normal
8. Set DS1 remote device management type to use Carrier Access IP management (CAIP) using the 
IP address of the remote device being managed.
set ds1 <n> remote device management caip <ipaddr> [pphone]
Example:
set ds1 1 remote device management caip 192.168.3.158
Include pphone option to enable P-Phone service to the remote Adit 600. Do not use this option 
unless P-Phone service is required.
9. Set all other drop DS1s to same remote Adit to point to DS1 using CAIP.
set ds1 <n> remote device mgmt ds1 <n>
Example:
set ds1 2 remote device management ds1 1
