To view the CPN Series Chart Plotter image on a mobile device, the Plan2Nav application
must be installed on the iOS mobile device. Plan2Nav is a free application that can be
downloaded from iTunes Store at:

Only the image of CPN Series Chart Plotter in Chart Plotter Mode is repeated on the mobile device. Other
applications, such as the Internet Browser, Media Player, Connection Manager and Touchscreen
Calibration, are not repeated on the mobile device. The image of the “Intelligent key” window, Shut Down
window and Brightness Control window are not repeated on the mobile device.

The Video Input function (see Par. 2.13.9 “Video Input”) and the P2N Link function cannot be active
simultaneously. If you try to activate the Video Input function while the P2N Link function is working, a
confirmation window will be displayed to inform you that by activating Video Input function P2N Link
function will be stopped. If you confirm that you want to proceed  with Video Input activation, the CPN
Series Chart Plotter will stop streaming its screen image to the mobile device. The P2N Link function will
be resumed when the Video Input function is quitted.

In order to use the P2N Link functionality, the steps below must be followed:

Launch the Chart Plotter Mode on the CPN Series Chart Plotter.

Enable the P2N Link function on the CPN Series Chart Plotter.

Connect the mobile device to the same Wi-Fi

®

 network as the CPN Series Chart

Plotter.

Launch the Plan2Nav application on the mobile device.

Activate the P2N Link function on the Plan2Nav application on the mobile device.

The P2N Link works only when  the CPN Series Chart Plotter is running in Chart Plotter Mode. The Chart
Plotter Mode must be already running prior to the activation of the function on the Plan2Nav. If  the CPN
Series Chart Plotter is not running in Chart Plotter Mode, Plan2Nav will not manage to connect to the CPN
Series Chart Plotter and remotely display the CPN series Chart Plotter screen.

On the About page (see also Par. 2.14.8, “About page”) the following information about the
connected mobile device can be found:

if a mobile device is connected, the connected device’s name is displayed

if no mobile device is connected, the “NO DEVICES CONNECTED” message is
displayed

1. While in Chart Plotter Mode press the 

 Intelligent key.

2. Tap on P2N Link Icon

3. Depending on the Connection Manager settings (see Chapter 3 “Connection Manager”),

the P2N Link can be established by connecting via one of the following connections:
