Caveats
Flash File System Squeeze Utility
When a Flash memory device is full, the files must be rearranged so that the space used by the deleted
files can be reclaimed. The squeeze feature erases all the deleted files from the router’s file system and
copies all the valid files from the beginning of the Flash memory. The squeeze operation can take as long
as several minutes because it involves erasing and rewriting almost an entire Flash memory space. To
enable this feature, the entire Flash device, including any partitions, has to be completely erased. There
is a provision in the erase command to disable this squeeze utility.
