This document describes how to configure a Virtual Private Network (VPN) routing and forwarding 
(VRF) instance for IPv4 and IPv6 VPNs and describes how to upgrade your existing single-protocol 
IPv4-only VRF to a multiprotocol VRF configuration. 

The MPLS VPN—VRF CLI for IPv4 and IPv6 VPNs feature introduces Cisco IOS command-line 
interface (CLI) commands that allow you to enable an IPv4 and IPv6 VPN in the same VRF instance and 
to simplify the migration from a single-protocol VRF configuration to a multiprotocol VRF 
configuration.
