IEEE 802.1s authorization no longer fails on a port under these circumstances:
A switch is configured for IEEE 802.1x authentication and VLAN assignment by a RADIUS
server.
The port receives the VLAN ID from the RADIUS that is identical to the VLAN ID for which
the port is configured.
CSCsd00381 (Catalyst 3750, 3560, and 2970 switches)
A switch doing IEEE 802.1x authorization with an AAA server no longer fails when connectivity is
lost to the AAA server and AAA authorization is configured to default to a group of none
CSCsd40334
Processing a specially crafted IPv6 Type 0 Routing header can crash a device running Cisco IOS
software. This vulnerability does not affect IPv6 Type 2 Routing header which is used in mobile
IPv6. IPv6 is not enabled by default in Cisco IOS.
Cisco has made free software available to address this vulnerability for affected customers.
There are workarounds available to mitigate the effects of the vulnerability. The workaround
depends on if Mobile IPv6 is used and what version on Cisco IOS is being currently used.
