Parameter
Description
State
The State column indicates the current state for the
corresponding session.
To set up a session for VOD use, you must complete
several steps with required transactions for multiple
external devices and subsystems. The application
software uses the State column to track and manage the
progress of a session during setup, while the session is
active, and during teardown at completion. The states
and their respective use are as follows:

Server1Indication: The first step in a VOD session
setup request is to forward the request for video to
the back office for validation. The application
software forwards the request to the back office and
marks the state as Server1Indication. This state
indicates the request was forwarded to the back
office and the application software is waiting on the
response from the back office.

Server2Indication: The reply from the back office
can indicate a redirect to a second server. The
Server2Indication state indicates that the request was
forwarded to a second back office server, and the
application software is waiting on the reply.

Server3Indication: The Server3Indication state
indicates the request was forwarded to a third server,
and the application software is waiting on a
response.

ResourceRequest: The ResourceRequest state
indicates that the application software has issued a
request for a resource and is waiting on the response.

ResourceConfirm: The ResourceConfirm state
indicates that the resource has been granted and
confirmations will be transmitted before
transitioning to the Active state.

NoResource: The NoResource state indicates that
one or more resources need to grant the service but
are not available. Responses will be transmitted to
affected devices and the entry will be deleted from
the table.

Active: The Active state indicates that the session is
active.
Sessionid
The SessionId is the label/identifier for the session.
When the client device requests a service, the request is
identified and tracked with a 10-byte session ID
generated by the client.
