Chapter 7: The MIXER/EFFECTS Key
Viewing the Mix Data in Text Form
The graphic screens for the stereo mixer and individual outputs/
effects mixer (menu options 1 and 2) are normally used for the
adjusting the stereo mix and individual outputs/effects mix. How-
ever, an additional screen containing the same data in text form is
also provided. You can access it by pressing the MIXER/EFFECTS
key and selecting option 3. The following screen will appear:
================ Mixer =================
Note:64/A01-Sound_name       (ST)
--- Stereo Out ---   ---- Indiv Out ----
Volume:100           Volume:100
Pan:50L              Output select:EFCT
                     Follow ster vol:YES
========================================
<Set all notes>
This alternate view is useful when adjusting mix data for note
numbers within the active program that are not currently assigned
to a pad. This would be the case when you’re playing sounds from
the MIDI input only. Also, one mix parameter,
Follow ster
vol
(Follow stereo volume), only appears in this screen.
The fields and soft keys are:
• The
Note
 field:
A unique set of mix data values exists for each of the 64 MIDI note
numbers (35-98) in the active program. The mix values shown in the
center area of the screen apply only to the MIDI note number
selected in this field. For convenience, the pad number and sound
currently assigned to the selected note number are shown to its
right. A new note number may be entered either (1) by cursor
editing, (2) by pressing a front panel pad (the note number assigned
to that pad will be selected automatically), or (3) by sending a note
to the MIDI input (the received note number will be selected auto-
matically).
The Stereo Out section:
• The
Volume
 field:
This is the volume for the selected sound at the stereo outputs. The
range is from 0 to 100. This is the same parameter set by the
graphic volume slider in the Stereo Mix screen.
