Select the menu item Quality with the navigation buttons   
d and c. Confirm your 
selection with the confirmation button  . 
With the navigation buttons   
e and fand subsequent pressing of the confirma-
tion button  , you can choose the compression rate between the following quality 
settings: 
 
 
Maximum compression rate (low memory use, lower quality). This 
setting will be indicated to you at position   on the LCD monitor   
with the symbol depicted on the right. 
 
Lowest compression rate (highest memory use, best quality). This 
setting will be indicated to you at position   on the LCD monitor   
with the symbol depicted on the right. 
 
Confirm your selection by pressing the confirmation button  
 
Note:  
ƒ  If you want to achieve the best possible photo quality, choose  . If you want to 
use as little memory as possible, choose 
 
 
Exposure compensation (EV)  
 
Select the menu item EV with the navigation buttons   
d and c. Confirm your se-
lection with the confirmation button  . 
With the navigation buttons   
e and f and subsequent pressing of the confirma-
tion button  you can choose between 13 values from -2.0 to +2.0 for manual ex-
posure compensation. The following levels are available for the exposure com-
pensation: 
 
0.0 No 
manual 
correction 
+0.3 to +2.0 
The photo becomes lighter 
-0.3 to -2.0 
The photo becomes darker 
 
Confirm your selection by pressing the confirmation button  
The selected setting will be indicated to you at position   on the LCD monitor  . 
 
Note:  
ƒ  Use the exposure compensation e.g. for photos with backlight.  
    (“-2“).
